Each Wednesday I post about some sort of treasure I found during the past week. It might be thrifted or found on a walk or whispered in my ear or discovered on a dark shelf in the basement. Something. Anything that makes me feel lucky and thankful. It doesn’t necessarily have to make its way home with me – it just has to be noticed. The idea is for it to cost very little and feel very big. After all, this isn’t about acquiring new things; it is about paying better attention to the world around me.
If you discovered a treasure this week (a new friend, a snow fairy, a fancy dish at the thrift store, a bird’s nest) please do share it, as well as any links, in the comments section below.

Yup. It was definitely time to make a big jar of lemonade syrup. I added just a few spoonfuls to a big glass of ice water, and it instantly felt like summer. The girls downed theirs in like four gulps.
Today has been one of those days that has felt long in a good way. The hours have stretched on, making me feel like I still have time to get things done.
Here is to a productive, lemony, hot and humid Wednesday.

Oh my good sweet lord. It was melty-hot today and my solution was to buy a newused window air conditioner. Maybe I could have just bought nine lemons instead. I will do that tomorrow!
Also spectacular to swish around in your ice water: a slice of lemon and five or so of cucumber 🙂

Made it… yummmmmm. (With seven lemons. I CAN read.)

good for you and your newused air conditioner. on those hard to breath days, lemonade isn’t enough- the muggy air just needs to be conditioned.
i’m going to try the cucumber water once it is cucumber season around here. xo
