I went for a walk in the woods of New Hampshire two weeks ago with two old friends. I came home nostalgic and with my head filled with the beauty of the soon to be autumnal woods. I saw little pockets of moss on old stumps, puffy seed pods, long stretching spider webs, a dry stream bed, an old snapping turtle’s nest, and a beaver pond. This photograph of the pond was taken while standing just behind the beaver damn. It was late in the afternoon, the sun was warm, the air cool, and I had nowhere else to be but there.
I posted this photo because it makes me think of the wonderful, peace generating, talented Maya Donenfeld. Maya’s gorgeous, inspiring book was released this past May and I’ve been enjoying it ever since. Have you seen it? It is a true treasure, as is she. There is something very special about her gentle, wise ways, and I am thrilled to have her join the tour today. You can read Maya’s review here where you can leave a comment for a chance to win a copy. Thank you, dear Maya!
